They also said a few things about the Palace here and there, including how they were never allowed to tell their own story. Before the release of the docuseries, inside sources claimed that the institution was ready to deny any false allegations by the Sussexes. Reports suggested that Prince William also informed his team to scrutinize every scene. However, against the rumors, the royal family is continuing with their no comment policy.
Palace’s policy for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can backfire
Queen Elizabeth II always maintained the rule of never complaining and never explaining. The late monarch believed that silence was the most powerful weapon. Following her demise, King Charles III and Queen Consort have been following the same mantra. The House of Windsor is yet to release any official statement regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries. Experts believe that by not reacting to the racism claims by the Sussexes, the institution has lost a good chance of coming clean. The crisis communications expert Dave Quast believes that the royal family had the option to make the people aware of the steps they had taken to tackle racism.

“By not commenting on the content of the accusations made by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Buckingham Palace has missed a chance. To further clarify, to Britons and to the world, that it understands the monarchy’s long and troubled history on matters of race,” Quast said as mentioned by Forbes.
Meanwhile, there is another theory that states that the House of Windsor is waiting for the remaining three episodes to air on December 15. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not attack aggressively on the monarchy in the first volume. Thus, some serious accusations are expected in the second part.
