With this year’s opening chapter, the story of Upside Down has begun working its leg to ensure a righteous conclusion to Stranger Things. As was promised by the makers, the new year commenced with moving mountains for going neck-deep into the filming arrangements. While several updates have come by now to keep fans on their toes, a green light for the shooting of a hospital sequence has amplified the excitement and anticipation, all thanks to Sadie Sink.

The last installment of Stranger Things devoured the tenterhooks with Max’s close-call exit from Vecna’s malevolence, resorting her to the hospital bed. The filming updates surged in from Stranger Things Spoiler’s X (formerly Twitter) outlet about their shooting at a hospital set in Madison, Georgia. As soon as the updates swarmed in, fans were quick to pose the question, is “Max waking up?”. 

Even though it is difficult to verify the same at this hour, the swift dotting of trajectories of the last season to this update makes it clear that fans are not ready to miss one bit. And especially since the makers have stayed true to their promise to kick-start the filming in 2024, the fandom cannot help but make 4 out of the 2. Also since Sadie Sink and Caleb McLaughlin were recently spotted at the sets, this following update makes a good gamble for the intrigue.

Stranger Things from its inception in the television world have created a league of its own. With its massive fan following of the otherworldly thriller, the show has brought in a complete package of suspenseful storytelling. Now, as it moves on to the last leg of the 8-year-old narrative, fans cannot contain their urge to fill in the blanks of these updates.

Some fans resorted to the idea of Max awakening. Other fans had to say that the team might be visiting Max. Some even hoped for Eleven to quickly crack the hack to “find Max in her mind”.

Indeed, one cannot really point to any of the speculations as the ideal truth, but chances are also there that the scene might be connecting the storyline from fourth to fifth as an entry curtain pull. But as was said, the probability is weighing heavily on either of the theories. Therefore, to ultimately know how the story unfolds and what the hospital sequence has in store, one has to wait until the clock ticks to the final drop date revelation.
