Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are raising their two children, Archie and Lilibet, away from the scrutiny and press hounding in California. However, the same is not the case with the other three younger royals, Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte. Kate Middleton and Prince William’s children are growing up in the public eye with the media following their every move.

As per the royal expert Duncan Larcombe, Kate Middleton is not happy with her children’s constant public appearances. However, the Prince and Princess of Wales do not have other options, considering they are the working royals and the future King and Queen Consort. Moreover, Prince George is the main reason behind Wales giving access to their children to the media.

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s parenting style 

Duncan Larcombe stressed that Kate Middleton was keen on following the Middleton model for raising her three children. However, Prince George is the future king. It is mandatory for the public to connect with him before he takes the throne. As per the royal expert, living a hidden life can do more harm to the little prince in the future. Thus, the Prince and Princess of Wales are left with no choice but to expose their children to the press from their birth. 

They are hoping for George to connect with the public just like the late Queen Elizabeth II did before the death of her father. “If the public doesn’t fall in love with Prince George, then he’s going to be playing catch up for the rest of his life. By the time the Queen came to the throne, the nation had fallen in love with Princess Elizabeth because they felt her pain,” Larcombe mentioned while speaking to OK Magazine. 

Despite the constant media scrutiny, Kate Middleton is bringing up her three children differently from how their father Prince William was raised. She is giving a secure environment at home to George, Louis, and Charlotte. Growing up, Princess Catherine considered her father and mother as her best friends. Thus, she wants her children to share the same bond with her.
