The DC extended universe has been going through a rough patch for some time now. With almost a year without a film release and previous controversies with director Zack Snyder, there is no better time than now for the film franchise to make a comeback. Even though there is a plethora of films for DC to make a comeback with, what is better than a sequel of The Man Of Steel, with Henry Cavill back as the last son of Krypton?
And, it seems like Henry Cavill might finally put on his Kryptonian suit to make his much-awaited DC return. Clark Kent, a.k.a Superman, is one of the most astounding characters ever played on screen. The Man of Steel is amongst the best superhero films there is, and fans have been eager to watch Cavill in his Superman suit again. With rumors of Cavill starring in different DC movies floating around, it seems like The Witcher actor may actually grab the Superman cape from his closet for a sequel.
Is Henry Cavill to return in Man of Steel 2?
Henry Cavill last played Superman in the 2021 film Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Despite being such an iconic character, Superman only has one movie of his own. With fans demanding Cavill’s return, it seems like Warner Bros have finally listened to the viewers, thanks to Dwayne Johnson. On a recent podcast, industry insider David Faraci made some interesting revelations about Superman.
Faraci spoke, “Like, he(Dwayne) went hard, full-court press on Warner Bros. and made them go to Henry Cavill, and they had to sign a new deal with Henry Cavill, including saying they were gonna develop a new Superman movie. And it was all because The Rock insisted.”
