Not a month ago, fans were naming 2022 the year Henry Cavill made his long-awaited return to the DC Universe, what fans considered the equivalent of a home country for Cavill. However, before they could even properly celebrate, the actor had to awkwardly announce that he was no longer needed in the new DC that James Gunn and Peter Saffran would create. Fans were saddened by the actor’s dismissal and went on a rampage to remind the new authorities what a colossal mistake they were making by letting Cavill go. The authorities in DC were not the only ones to be at the receiving end of hate. Henry Cavill also left his trademark, The Witcher series.

And the fact that the production announced that he is getting replaced by Liam Hemsworth only ignited the fire further. The only time anyone will probably hear of the audience getting saddened by Liam Hemsworth taking up a role is if Henry Cavill played it earlier. On the other hand, James Gunn said he has a “younger” Superman in mind. And reports say Euphoria fame Jacob Elordi will be picking up the red cape this time. Surprisingly, fans are not picking up their forks as long as they call it, carrying Henry Cavill’s legacy and not replacing Henry Cavill.

Who is the young actor that fans are ready to accept as Superman after Henry Cavill?

After James Gunn announced his plans to write a movie centered around a young Clark Kent, fans had quite a few names to put forth. However, Jacob Elordi, in his six feet five-inch glory, was the most noticeable in the crowd not just because of his height but because of the immense potential that that actor possesses.

Given how the movie is about a young Clark Kent stepping into Metropolis and Jacob Elordi, with his past roles in Euphoria and Kissing Booth on Netflix, has quite a shining portfolio when it comes to walking high school hallways, fans knew no better actor to step into the role.

Moreover, Jacob Elordi may not be the most known face to fans of the comic, making him the perfect candidate if James Gunn is going for a fresh and bright vibe.

And considering how fast he has done away with the Synderverse, it is evidently what he is doing. Moreover, Elordi is twenty-five years old, so he can stay around for a long time in the DC Universe. That is, if they do not follow the same recipe as they did with Henry Cavill. While there have been no official announcements, Jacob Elordi is the most probable new Superman by mass choice.
