Will the Inside Man be renewed for season 2? Netflix treated us on Halloween by adding yet another mind-boggling thriller to its long list. The show was originally released on BBC this September, before making its entry on the streaming giant.

The series has had big names attached so far, with Lydia West, Stanley Tucci, and David Tennant in the lead. Now only the cast, but the show is written by Dr. Who and Sherlock writer Steven Moffat. That itself sells the slow burn series. But considering the way it ended, will Netflix renew the mini-series for season 2?

Inside Man just finished its first season, and the fans of the show are left with a question now. Will Netflix renew it? As per sources, there has been no confirmation made by the platform for Season 2. In fact, writer Moffat also touched upon this topic during an interview, “As to whether or not you could ever spin-off anything or do any kind of sequel? I don’t know at this moment.”

According to him, the story is supposed to conclude with four episodes, but it can be picked up again depending on the reception. However, he also does not support extending shows unnecessarily.

The first season’s ending left a lot of people in question. While some called the ending brilliant, others were left confused. The plot revolves around Rev Watling and his family, tutor Janice, Grieff, who is on death row for killing his wife, and journalist Beth, who takes a special interest in understanding cold cases and is interviewing Grieff.

Both the beginning and ending have Watling in trouble throughout. There is a question of whether he has spared Janice or not, as she is seen sitting by Grieff and wanting advice from him to kill her husband. The series ends with some clarity and some interpretations. The first season consisted of four episodes with a runtime of approximately 60 minutes. It is to be seen whether the show’s popularity grows and makes Netflix change its mind.
