The second season of Netflix’s The Witcher was honestly something to die for. While there were a plethora of characters, incidents, and storylines that were absolutely splendid, we cannot take our mind off one bond that prospered during the season. Yes, we are talking about the new father-daughter of Geralt aka the witcher and Ciri. We all knew that they will be together soon, but we were honestly not ready for such an adorable relationship.

Geralt was anyway going to make a pretty intriguing father to look at, and he did exactly that. Like any cool dad, Geralt developed some personality traits that are a must-have for a father. One of those was to crack dad jokes, and Geralt aced it when cracking them to Ciri in The Witcher Season 2 on Netflix. Let us look at some of these instances, where we had some really hilarious but also heart-melting moments involving Geralt, Ciri, and Geralt’s dad jokes.

Geralt teaches the importance of meals to Ciri in The Witcher

We all have had instances where we were not interested in having any food; mainly because we were engrossed in some other important task. And every single time, our dad found some way to tell us how important meals are. In one episode, Ciri is determined to train while her stomach clearly wants food. Seeing this, Geralt quickly hops on the opportunity and uses it to teach why having a satisfied stomach is important for fights. When Ciri says, “Hunger makes for good sauce.” He replies in his signature tone, and a bit of sarcasm, saying, “It also makes for shitty lunges.”

We all remember our dad saying, “When I was your age…” or “I was young too..” right? Well, you’d think that Geralt might just be a little better than that, and poor Ciri won’t have to deal with this joke. But guess what? He said it, and he said it rather awkwardly.

Fathers have this eerie talent of making us forget about all our nightmares. Well, they do not certainly do something sensible, instead, they will say something so absurd that you will stop thinking about your stuff and be worried about them. During one of the first conversations between Geralt and Ciri in the series, the young girl opened up about her nightmares. Geralt had the most ‘witcher’/’dad’ way to tackle it. He went to tell Ciri about his nightmares and how you slowly start forgetting them soon. But there was one dream that he just couldn’t shake off, and it involved a rock troll. While reminiscing about it, he said, ” Except the one about the rock troll. Overly friendly. Tough image to shake.”
