Netflix's 'The Witcher' Adds Its First Ever Game-Exclusive Character, Following Months After Liam Hemsworth Replacing Henry Cavill
With Henry Cavill's bereavement from the franchise and his replacement with Liam Hemsworth, the audience has needed a stronger dose of something from The Witcher, something as intense as the plot itself. And the news of the never-actually-been-done-before has had the spectators at least raising their eyebrows in amusement, with the announcement of a new character addition to the show series. The audience stands intrigued once taking into notice the nature of the character being a previous game-exclusive.
When push comes to shove, one often finds oneself shedding some ground-rules of action set for ourselves, often understanding where in growth this suffix, and where it does not.
Two worlds of The Witcher collide: for better or for worse...?

The Netflix fantasy marker has always tried to keep a distance from CD Projekt RED games of the same name, the first adaptation of any kind to the fantasy novel series The Witcher, the show making the third of set in the The Witcher Universe. However, with the series progressing and for reasons not all clearly known, the video game character Roderick de Wett, to be played by John Meyers, as confirmed by Redanian Intelligence.
Roderick de Wett is said to be an entirely games exclusive character, but has his familial relations stemming from the book, one Jaochim de Wett. Where the series had been gaining traction for moving away even from the original source of the script, the novel series from where everything began.
With the recent, slightly unnerving progress of the show, the questionable turns it was taking, there had not been much of intrigue left about it, as if an overcooked meal. But are things starting to look up a little?
Same age, new era: new Geralt, new beginnings
With Cavill's departure and news of the showrunners not keen on collaborating with the author of the original books, Andrzej Sapkowski, there had been a good amount of raised eyebrows, questioning what direction exactly the show was to take if not the books or the games, what was The Witcher supposed to be about then? With newer developments taking place, the center of which stands one Liam Hemsworth, waiting to be proven as a worthy Geralt of Rivia. An animated installation titled Sirens of the Deep is being set up to be released. Have all successfully pulled the audience out of the alleged dry spell, and involvements rising up a little more with newer, albeit yet to be groundbreaking, updates about the final two seasons of the show.

With The Witcher franchise poised and ready for a revitalized new year with Liam Hemsworth leading the way as the new Geralt, the burn of Henry Cavill's leave and the massive creative shifts that seem to be taking place under covers might simmer down a little with the newer plotlines revealed.
