“I’ll come visit your set now” – Ishana Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Watchers’ Set Finds a Fan in M. Night Shyamalan
M. Night Shyamalan may be an Oscar-winning director for the world, but for his daughter, he is her biggest fan. And also the producer of her debut project. Ishana Night Shyamalan is all set to show the world her first work of art as a director with The Watchers. The project is aiming to be a thriller that has the audience at the edge of their seat throughout the runtime. And Ishana M. Night, with her work in Apple TV+’s Servant, has prepared herself to woo the audience.

The thriller is set to release sometime in the summer of next year. Moreover, The Watchers has some of the most talented filmmakers vouching for it. Apart from backing the project as a producer, M. Night Shyamalan just declared his excitement for the project with another announcement.

M. Night Shyamalan to visit The Watchers set
The Sixth Sense director hit two birds with a stone as he shared a throwback and made an announcement in a single post. Shyamalan shared an article by Deadline and a throwback picture of junior Shyamalan sitting on his lap at what appears to be a film set. The stars were added, however, when the director captioned his post with an “I’ll come visit your set now,“.
Ishana Shyamalan, in the past years, has built intrigue on what project is going to be her next. The director started working as early as nineteen. Her most notable works are Servant, Old, and Knock at the Cabin.
While there is no doubt that mastering direction runs in the family, Ishana Shyamalan has graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. As she is gearing up for her directorial debut, her Oscar-winning father couldn’t be any more proud.

What is The Watchers about?
Not much is known about The Watchers yet besides the stellar crew working on it. However, as reported by Deadline, the New Line Cinema’s President, Richard Brener, described it as “Equal parts visual, immersive, and terrifying, the script grips you from the first page and never let’s go.”

The thriller boils down to three strangers trapped who find themselves abandoned in an unknown forest haunted by creatures. The Watchers is based on A.M. Shine’s novel which has a massive fanbase. Given that it is an adaption, fans will be putting their eagle eyeglasses on to see whether Shyamalan has understood the assignment.
