If Not Kanye West Himself, AI Tools Finally Produced an Apology Song in Yeezy’s Voice!
It is no news that the world of bots and Artificial Intelligence is taking over the paradigm of human imagination and power to create original art. Each and every day advancements in technology such as ChatGPT are making humans more reliable on their robot friends. People are generating music, art, and even poetry using these technologies. Recently, one such AI enthusiast and influencer used the tools to clone Yeezy’s voice to create a real-sounding Kanye West Apology Track.
The person behind this, YouTuber Roberto Nickson, uploaded a video of himself, first rapping the bars in his voice and then replicating a whole rap that he sang in Ye’s voice. “But I attacked a whole religion out of my ignorance,” the no-Ye raps as an apology song to the Jewish people for his antisemitic remarks. And the result, as Nickson describes it, is “utterly incredible.”

He further explained in the video that the idea popped into his head after messing with Ye’s voice on other such AI-generated covers such as the one he posted a few days ago of the fake, rather replicated voice of the American rapper singing Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself.’ Nickson wrote a few bars in Ye’s style, found Kanye West style beat on YouTube, and boom, a brand new mind-blowing rap in West’s voice got produced by AI.
The technology enthusiast then explains the predicament in which the future of art will be because of such a simulation of human intelligence.

In the hands of AI, the artistic features of humankind may be in danger
In the same video Roberto Nickson notes that even though his creation is not what one could call “perfect,” but “this is the worst AI can be.” Perhaps, just the way we have indistinguishable artificial diamonds, artists may keep multiple trained models to sing and rap songs for them. He further predicted that the future will be moving truly fast and no one will know if the content is original or not.
Further explaining, he said that if we think of all the perks and drawbacks that may come out of this advancement, there are no advantages as such. “To be quite honest, it’s hard to see the good after that kind of grim prophesying from someone who seems to know what he’s talking about,” Nickson concluded.
