Will Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman work together again?

The actors have previously worked together in the 2011 The Change-Up where they both played two cozy childhood best friends. Furthermore, Ryan Reynolds and James Bateman share artistic interests and are good friends. Speaking to Dylan Blade, Ryan confessed, ”I couldn’t be a bigger Jason Bateman fan”. The Deadpool actor has gone on to praise Jason’s craft on various occasions.

Ryan, who was an executive producer of Clue, said in an interview with Steve Weintraub “If it’s not this it will be something else” about working with the Ozark actor again.

Clue starring Reynolds and Bateman was based on a board game. It was loosely inspired by an older black comedy movie by the same name that now has a cult following. However, the newer adaptation screen written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wenrick, who have tried and tested ingredients for a blockbuster thriller, was going to be more high budget and louder than the previous adaptation.

It seems like the stars are not aligned for Clue because Jason Bateman left the project due to his schedule. The movie was going to be produced by Ryan’s very own production company, Maximum Effort. However, it seems even after putting “maximum efforts” the project could not get a green light due to collateral damages. Fans have their fingers crossed to see the two stars working together. More specifically, in a murder mystery. Meanwhile, you can watch Bateman in Ozark on Netflix.
