British royal Palace and its innuendos with Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex is a never-ending story. There are always some or other alleged stories and speculations revolving around the two. However, seldom do we hear of Markle’s tumultuous relationship with her father, Thomas Markle. But before the royal couple’s nuptials, there were several reports of her father’s behavior, claiming that he had staged paparazzi photos, among other things.

And it does not end here. Back in 2018, just two months after her marriage to the Prince of her dream, the former actress’s father reportedly accused his daughter and her new home, the royal palace of totally cutting him off from Markle’s life. “They want me to be silent, they want me to just go away,” he told The Mail in a chat. “But I won’t be silenced,” Thomas Markle added, suggesting that not only he has had enough of the royal palace but is saddened by Markle’s “sense of superiority.”

He further maintained his belief that he has played a major role in all of his daughter’s achievements, including becoming the Duchess of Sussex. Thomas Markle also alleged that Buckingham palace had their newlywed bride cut off all contact with her father, who paid for her schooling to her training abroad. He expressed his disappointment at Markle’s ungrateful behavior towards him, further fearing that he will not even get to meet his grandchildren.

An insight into the relationship between Thomas Markle and Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle and her father’s relationship had already hit a rough patch before her marriage. Her father had reportedly been aware of Markle’s request for him to stay off social media and not talk to media outlets about her or her marriage, yet he failed to heed that request.

Thomas Markle gave his daughter’s wedding a miss because of his heart surgery and the Duchess reportedly didn’t talk to him after that. Her father then went on a media campaign, giving numerous interviews and making hurtful public statements about his daughter, which did not go down well with the royal family.

The sudden barrage of public commentary from Thomas Markle also forced the British Palace to make a statement, conveying how the family was “deeply disappointed” to see that he had chosen to make a lucrative career out of exploiting his relationship with his daughter.
