Sydney Sweeney is often questioned about the various explicit scenes she has done for various projects. The best part is that the 25-year-old honestly answers each of them and is clear about her thoughts. It was difficult for her to establish herself in the industry without a godfather, but she never stopped trying, and hence, is slowly and steadily moving to be Hollywood’s new favorite.

However, she had some encounters in the past that made her feel disgusting. She has said in the past that she is comfortable doing nude scenes if they are in the script. In fact, the thing that she loved about Euphoria and its director, Sam Levinson, is that he did not glamorize the explicit scenes in the show.

However, the actress has not always encountered directors who won’t push her to do nude scenes. According to the Independent, she recently said that she did not always feel the ease to do every explicit scene she has ever done. “I’ve had experiences where I want to go home and scrub myself completely raw because I feel disgusting,” the 25-year-old said. However, this was not the end of the disgust she felt.

The actress spoke quite openly about how bad filming such scenes made her feel. Although being new in the industry, it was difficult for her to stand up against the director’s will. In fact, sometimes even after requesting the director and explaining to them that this scene does not necessarily need nudity, the directors won’t agree. And hence, she would be left with no choice but to film the scene.

Her disgust from such scenes can be one of the reasons that she loved working on Euphoria. The thoughtful director of the show appointed an intimacy coordinator who helped the actors with such scenes. Moreover, actors had the liberty to discuss it with the 38-year-old director who was open to their input.

This behavior of Levison can be counted as one of the reasons behind the huge success of the show. Moreover, it got Sweeney a Primetime Emmy nomination for the first time in her career. Fans are eagerly waiting for the third season of the show to be out.
