Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Yeoh has opened up about working for Wicked. The entertainer who recently released a fantasy movie Everything Everywhere All at Once will be releasing another one in 2024. While Yeoh herself is an audience magnet because of her acting skills, she will be accompanied by a strong star cast, including Ariana Grande.

Now, Wicked will be released in two parts, and the shooting for part 1 has begun. Other than Yeoh and Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo is also a part of the film. Giving us a glimpse of the fantasy movie shooting, the Malaysian actress reflected on her experience of working with the aforementioned stars.

Wicked actress Michelle Yeoh took a short break from the movie’s filming to give an update on the film’s shooting. As per The Hollywood Reporter, the actress ensured that the fantasy comedy thriller project has been developing amazingly so far. Praising the cast and crew, she said, “And with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, it’s like a dream. I walk onto set and hear angels sing.”

Mentioning Jon Chu, Yeoh admitted that waiting to select someone experienced like him was worth it. While Yeoh will portray the role of Madame Morrible, Grande will be seen as Glinda and Erivo as Elphaba. The musical fantasy movie also showcases Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Stater, Jeff Goldblum, etc. in the cast. While adaptations of the 1995 book Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West exist, this movie is set to be a world apart because of its grand production. Much of the movie’s production will take place outdoors in London, UK.
