The world once missed a chance to embrace three legendary music icons together on the stage. Remember the iconic smooch between Britney Spears and Madonna that happened on the stage of the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards? Recently, Jennifer Lopez revealed that she was going to be a part of it.

Back then, it made the headlines and is still counted as one of the most iconic VMA moments. Apparently, JLo was also going to join these divas for the same performance. But for some reason, she could not, and after almost 20 years, she has revealed why.

Why did Jennifer Lopez miss the chance to be “a little different”?

Who does not know about the famous kiss that happened between Spears and Madonna? It is not the first time Jennifer Lopez has claimed that she was supposed to be a part of it. According to BuzzFeed News, her claims have always divided people into two groups: those who support her and those who say that this is a mere publicity stunt.

Apparently, the Boy Next Door actress is not lying, as there is enough evidence on the internet to support her. While a lot of Twitterati were against the singer’s claims, some of her fans took it personally and came forward with their support.

There is also a very old piece of news where it has been made clear that the 53-year-old actress was going to be a part of this iconic performance. However, she could not join them, and she has made it clear why. “I was filming a movie in Canada, and we had met—me, [Madonna], and Britney—to do it at her home, and then I just couldn’t get off the film,” she recalled.

The performance was going to be on the theme of a wedding, and three of the singers were going to perform songs by Madonna. However, JLo was later replaced by Say Something singer Christina Aguilera, who turned out to be magnificent on the stage.

Although Lopez has accepted that she has always been a huge fan of Madonna, Unfortunately, she couldn’t perform in the show because of her tight film schedule.
