“I felt like there was something inside of me…” – Hayley Williams Speak About How Billie Eilish Reminded Her of Her Teen Years
We all come across that one person who would remind us of our younger days through their way of thinking, interests, endeavors, zeal, and everything in between. It is perhaps a human instinct to be reminded of self-learning from the journeys of others. One such celebrity persona is none other than the 20-year-old pop singer Billie Eilish. Having achieved so much at such a young age, not only had she set an example for the generations to follow, but the No Time to Die singer also reminds the older ones about their struggles and journey to stardom.

One such artist is the 33-year-old Hayley Williams, the famous keyboardist of Paramore band who recently connected with Eilish for the band’s sixth album. Notably, Paramore is all set for a big comeback with the release of This Is Why in 2023. The album will be the first in six years and the sixth in total. Seemingly, in a recent interview with SiriusXM’s Alt Nation, Williams talked about how the Ocean Eyes singer reminded her of herself and her younger days. She apparently couldn’t stop praising how Eilish found success through her talent at the tender age of seventeen and mapping her own nostalgic journey onto it.

In the interview, the American singer-songwriter revealed how she has connected to the seven-time Grammy Awards winner since she jumped into the endeavors of her band. The first thing Williams unsurprisingly witnessed was Eilish’s ‘When the Party’s Over,’ video. The second, of course, was an interview with her. The 33-year-old later remarked, “I felt like there was something inside of me that was watching me — slash us — as teenagers doing interviews and navigating this world.”
Well, that is not it. Hayley Williams further asserted in the interview that she has already made a strong bond with the pop singer’s family. She recalled how they bonded over vegan Cinnamon rolls that Eilish’s mother, Maggie Baird, served during dinner last year. Ever since, Eilish’s brother Finneas, her parents, and herself have formed a strong connection with the keyboardist. Williams further shared how she had already connected to them “just about their organization that they have.” But it seems like the Thanksgiving cinnamon treat did all the miracles. “I feel like I would do anything for them,” Williams told the interviewer in the flow of emotions.
