With the live-action adaptation of One Piece mere days away, it has been an incredible journey. After numerous delays, the Netflix project will soon be gracing the screens in a format that audiences have never seen before. And ahead of the show’s premiere on 31st August, showrunners Steven Maeda and Matt Owens revealed the process of transforming the story in a new format. During an interview with Games Radar, the duo revealed how creator Eiichiro Oda’s love for the story brought palpable pressure on the duo.

Owens revealed, “I don’t think I’ve ever been more nervous for anything in my entire life. He explained the starting phase of the project was extremely challenging.
