Since the premiere of season 4, Stranger Things has winded down. But fans are still speculating and coming up with theories about the next season and breaking down season 4. The latest season upped the game on so many levels that it left viewers wanting more. For one, it introduced the big bad, Vecna, and a massive twist that surrounded him and Eleven. The wonderful Jamie Campbell Bower breathed life into the character and created one of the most terrifying and fascinating villains of the Stranger Things Universe.
While there is still some bad blood between Eleven and Vecna, she is not the one Vecna is currently eyeing. Jamie expressed his desire to settle things with Will before he tackles his ex-lab friend turned enemy.
Jamie Campbell Bower wants Vecna to settle the scores with Will next season
Apart from the show heavily implying that Will is indeed gay in the latest season, we also got a hint that Will can feel Vecna. He had been feeling him all this time. In the finale, Will touches the nape of his neck and feels that familiar dreadful sensation. He is also the one to tell the gang that Vecna is not gone but is weak and injured.
Jamie Campbell Bower revealed on Happy Sad Podcast that although Eleven is number on Vecna’s hit list, Will and Vecna are not done yet. He would like a confrontation between the two. “I would really love to see a journey between Vecna and Will. I do think there is unfinished business there between the two of them“, he said.
The Demogorgons abducted Will in season 1 and although he was rescued later, his attachment to Upside Down remained. Stranger Things Season 2 was horrifying for Will as he, his parents, and his friends fought to save him from the clutches of the Upside Down. Bower pointed out the particular scene where Joyce was trying to up the temperature because Will’s temperature was dropping way below normal. According to him, it was scary, and he wants more of that.
Do you think Will can ever sever the relationship between him and Vecna?
