According to Screenrant, a 12-year-old boy, Austen MacMillan recently ended up using something he had learned from Stranger Things to save the life of his behavioral therapist, Jason Piquette after a drowning incident. The incident took place in Florida, at the swimming pool of McMillan’s house. After an attempt to see how long he could hold his breath, Piquette ended up passing out underwater.

Thankfully for him, McMillan knew exactly what to do in that situation. After he noticed that something was wrong with his therapist, the child ended up bringing him to the shallow side of the pool before trying to call for help. But as no one was home, he rushed back to Piquette’s side and performed CPR on him, which brought him out of his knocked-out state.

Austen McMillan may not have spilled the beans about which episode had taught him CPR, but fans of the series know that there is only one scene from the entire series that depicted a CPR scene. And that was in Season 1, episode 8 called, The Upside Down of Stranger Things. The scene showed Winona Ryder and David Harbour finding the unresponsive body of Ryder’s son in the show, Will Byers, who was portrayed by Noah Schnapp.

The pair then successfully managed to resuscitate him. While it may have been an emotional scene, it is evident that it still taught a child to perform a life-saving technique. Meanwhile, soon it would be the last time that the viewers could learn from the characters of Strangers Things as the show is heading towards its conclusion in season 5.
