Kate Bush got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, thanks to Stranger Things
The resurgence of the 80s hit landed Kate Bush in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after all these years. John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock and Roll Fame, told Variety that Bush was nominated many times earlier before for the same, but things couldn’t work out. What he feels worked out for the yesteryear singer was the “music being played in ‘Stranger Things’ to shine a light on them for a lot of younger people who didn’t know who she was in 1985; they probably weren’t even born yet.”
Fans in the show applauded the song’s placement and soon it became a favorite among the young fans who tasted the legacy of Bush. The Duffer Brothers cleverly placed the song in the sequence where Max experiences her worse fears. The scene got so much attention from fans that they were all gaga over the same.
