But that did not mean that Gosling never got to get up on the Oscar stage to receive an award. His romantic musical comedy-drama La La Land was the Best Movie in 2016 for a mere three minutes at the Oscars before they announced that there had been a mistake and Moonlight was the real winner. Although La La Land did not win an Oscar, it did win a special place in the heart of every person who watched it. Fans want to submit Ryan Gosling nodding in La La Land for the Oscars again.

In 2016, Damien Chazelle made the masterpiece that was La La Land. The flick was unlike any other movie that had been released in the era. Not only was La La Land a musical, but it was also focused on two individuals with a unique set of aspirations for their world. Gosling plays a struggling jazz pianist named Sebastian Wilder in the movie. He falls head over heels for Amelia Dolan, portrayed beautifully by Emma Stone.

Seb Wilder struggles with unfulfilled dreams, but with the entry of Amelia Dolan into his life, he also has to deal with unrequited love.

The movie gave an ending that beautifully wrapped up what La La Land is all about. As sunshine and rainbows as the title sounds, the movie or its ending are not anything like it.

Ryan Gosling’s nod towards the end, which still has fans breaking down, symbolizes a very important and heartbreaking moment in the character’s life.
