Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might not have their family members supporting them, however, their Hollywood celebrities have always been at their beck and call in times they needed them the most. Starting from world-class stars like Cardi B, Madonna, Beyoncé, and their messiah Tyler Perry to critically acclaimed TV personalities like Ellen DeGeneres, everyone has been a great support to the duo at times of tragedy and despair. 

Speaking of their celebrity associates, they have not only helped the Sussexes, but some have also looked up to them for their never-ending strength to fight the world. The finest example of this would be the time the American singer and songwriter, Beyoncé who paid her close friend, the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, a prestigious tribute of all times. 

Why repaint the Monalisa? we say, but the American Titan actually got the age-old remake, not only as a tribute but as a legitimate backdrop. But who was the one behind the canvas? Vanity Fair interviewed the Brooklyn-based eminent illustrator and portraitist, Tim O’Brien, who walked us through his entire procedure of making the iconic, Melanated Mona.

When asked about Meghan Markle and his association with the Duchess, the illustrator spoke highly of her. “Yeah of course…and I was already intrigued by her,” affirmed O’Brien. Hence he made up his mind to turn the entire thing into an interesting cover. The painter further elaborated on how it just came out as “a reborn that day.” 

Beyoncé  and Jay-Z looked up to Meghan Markle for her Black empowerment 

It is also to note that Beyoncé once took to Instagram to share the iconic portrait of Meghan Markle. After her words of gratitude to the “Brits” for winning the Best International Group, with Jay Z, AKA Hova. Penning a couple of lines of encouragement and black empowerment, the star congratulated Meghan Markle for her stance and her pregnancy back in 2019. 

In honor of black history month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas,” wrote the star. She further wished her all joy for her pregnancy with the Sussex eldest, Archie. In fact, it was on the same day that the Duchess has thrown an extravagant baby shower at the penthouse of the luxe Mark hotel. The same was attended by her closest friends, Serena Williams and Amal Clooney.
