This year has been a rocky road for the streaming giant as Netflix never faced such a crisis of subscribers in the past. The company revealed on Tuesday that it had nearly one million subscribers in the second quarter. However, Netflix is relieved that its prediction for the expected loss is nearly half. The previous April report stated that the streamer feared losing 2 million when they shockingly lost about 200,000 in the first quarter.
Meanwhile, people started talking that the golden days of growth and fame for Netflix have come to an end. Moreover, many questioned the strategies and zero advertisement policy the company followed for years. Now viewers are once more reacting to this announcement made by the streamer recently.

Netflix has lost 1 million viewers, and they are still delighted
The company has now about 220.7 million viewers globally after a massive drop in the last two quarters. It’s no doubt that the streamer had a challenging time, but they hope to bounce back in the third quarter. Because Netflix has seen a growth of 9% in revenues after the release of new seasons and shows. Also, co-chief executive Reed Hastings stated that the results were less harmful than expected. However, he added: “it’s tough losing one million subscribers and calling it a success.”
Meanwhile, the letter to shareholders has an optimistic approach to the future. The company said they would not change the binge-watching legacy as it’s a part of the belief in creating control-free content was viewers. Instead, they will continue to make efforts by changing their subscription plans and taking the support of advertisements. And the company will feature a lower-priced ad tier in partnership with Microsoft in 2023.

Netflix refused to air a single one of my documentaries. It’s a trash dump for unwatchable “woke” content. I’m delighted subscribers are running for the exits

Netflix losing a million subscribers is absolutely not shocking in the least, they've been actively cultivating resentment in their own subscribers for years now, and flushing millions down the toilet on transphobic comedy specials. It's so thoroughly self-inflicted.

Now, they're reporting a net loss of a million subscribers in Q2.
After 10 years of no quarters with a net loss in subscribers, they've now had two consecutive losses.
Gee, I wonder why.
