The world of animes has always been famous for featuring some of the greatest action sequences ever. Shows like Dragon Ball Z or Naruto have incredible fight scenes that include exceptional and unnatural powers. However, that’s what separates Baki Hanma from other animes. Instead of including entirely extraordinary superpowers, Baki has reached his level of skills through intense training and dedication.

All hard work pays off for Baki in the season finale when he fights with Olivia and defeats him. The fight in itself was incredible to watch. But what was the science behind it? An expert breaks down the fight scene and reacts to the tremendous force Baki used to defeat the strongest man in the USA.

How did Baki Hanma defeat Olivia?

The new martial arts anime on Netflix, Baki Hanma, is easily one of the best animes on the streaming service now. It feature a lot of great fights and training sequences. However, all fail in comparison to the final fight scene in episode 12. In, Baki vs Oliva the former completely Knocks out the latter leaving the characters and audiences in awe.

An expert recently scietifically brokedown the scene and calculated how Baki could’ve been able to defeat the gigantic Olivia. To start the breakdown, the expert assumes that Baki must’ve a shoe size of 26cm. So he calculates the area beneath his foot to be 240 square centimeters. As a result, the force with Baki punches Olivia in the finale would turn out to be 120 metric tons.

Finally, the expert talks about the last blow Baki lands on Olivia, a headbutt that sends him through the wall. The expert says that since the wall was about one meter in thickness and Baki made a hole in the wall of about 1.5 meters by 1.2 meters. As a result, Baki’s speed at that time must’ve been 668 km/hr, which is even faster than a maglev bullet train!

Indeed the scene was a thrilling one. And with Baki Hanma renewed for a second season, fans will surely witness more such incredible scenes from the anime.
