When Netflix released its highly anticipated adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy series The Witcher, its unfolding had everyone glued to the edge of their seats. And while every character has its own significance, one of the most captivating aspects of the show is undoubtedly the tumultuous yet compelling relationship between Yennefer and Geralt. Portrayed by Anya Chalotra and Henry Cavill respectively, their on-screen chemistry and dynamic bring an extra layer of depth to the already rich narrative.

The question which then pops up is whether Chalotra can bring the same depth with Liam Hemsworth. Well, the actress has a say in it. Just two days before the grand release of The Witcher season 3, media outlet Variety had a chat with the British actress about Cavill’s apparent exit and her having to work with a new Geralt.

When the interviewer asked how she aims to replicate the same on-screen chemistry with Hemsworth, Chalotra optimistically said, she is “very excited to see what his Geralt is.” Even though she did not have the opportunity to have a “chemistry test” with The Hunger Games actor, the 26-year-old is looking forward to exploring the “dynamics” they will have “as a group.”

The actress also hinted at what fans can expect from Yennefer and Cavill’s Geralt in his very last season.

Yennefer and Geralt are like fire and ice, with contrasting personalities and approaches to life. Yennefer is fiery, fiercely ambitious, and unafraid to express her desires. Meanwhile, Geralt is calm and reserved. It is precisely these differences that fuel their initial conflicts and ultimately ignite their undeniable chemistry. Their dynamic is a constant push-and-pull, with sparks flying every time they cross paths.

As per the 26-year-old, this season will be very “different” from season one. Furthermore, when asked if Geralt and Yennefer will be together physically, she wittily stated that even though she cannot reveal it but “they are together.” About Henry Cavill leaving the show, Chalotra said although “we will all feel the loss,” she is “excited for new energy to come in as well.”
