Back in 2019, Freya Allan sat down with The Witcher TV for a round table session to talk about her career. During this interview, she was asked about what she loved most about portraying the role of Ciri. In her response, the British star expressed her admiration for the character. The princess has exceptional qualities; she said, and that young girls should watch her for inspiration. According to her, Ciri has always respected her opinion and never shied away from making herself heard. She said, ” She’s definitely a brave character, but it’s shown realistically.”

Continuing, she said that people have tried to confuse and manipulate her, trying to tell her what path she should choose in the future. But the character did not fall into that trap and ultimately took things into her own hands, deciding what she would do with her life. So the 22-year-old felt that young people should learn that thing from her and believe in themselves instead of letting others decide their future.

In fact, the third installment of the series showed fans how Ciri finds herself alone in the Korath Desert. It was the moment that filled the young girl with the strength to take her own decision without the help of Geralt and Yennefer.

Allan and Ciri both found power in the desert

In June, this year Freya Allan spoke to Digital Spy about the grueling shoot that took place in Morocco. The actress revealed that filming those scenes came as an enormous challenge. But those moments gave her a new kind of strength that she never experienced before. “We were battling with 45 degrees. It was genuinely a challenge for me, not just Ciri,” she added.

In fact, the Oxfordshire native also had dreams of killing monsters, just like her character was battling with her own mind in the desert.
