With the UK Sovereigns dominating the royal headlines, their parodies for the American streaming giant have also created quite a stir. Netflix has got some unexplained obsession with royalty and it has been riding on The Crown drama series manifesting the same. The Netflix original, which sheds light on the in-depth analysis of the life and times of British royals, is one of the most popular shows to ever exist. The sole reason behind the success is the pivotal top-tier cast that has been running the series. Nonetheless, a temporary setback has hit the show. 

As exclusively reported by The Sun, the series has received a major blow as one of the most prominent team members has decided to call it quits. The same decision has thus interrupted the script and the screenplay of the series forcing bosses to rework some parts yet again. 

Enemy-winning star Gillian Anderson has been with the show since its nascent stages. She had become what is called a familiar face for the royal show. For her perfect portrayal of the then UK Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, she received humongous acknowledgment and critical support worldwide. Owing to the same, she also sealed a Golden Globes thus fetching the show all fame and glory. 

However, unfortunately, the producers of The Crown have failed to get the address back for its sixth installment. Sources revealed to the outlet that, “Gillian’s portrayal of Thatcher was met with global critical acclaim and she was a huge asset to The Crown.” The showrunners expected the star to appear in some scenes around the Golden wedding episodes of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip.

What will season six of The Crown Focus on?

However, that is not the case anymore since the actress has already pulled out of the show. The sudden changes in the schedule have thus made it compelling for the writers to script some scenes once again. 

Regardless, the show’s last season is to predominantly focus on the Walses family and their life and times. Leading up to Princess Diana’s tragic car accident, death still remains one of the most anticipated screenings of all time. Adding to it, the sixth installment will also focus on Prince William and his love story, with the now Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.
