What an amazing and grand tribute it was! The 65th Grammy Awards paid tribute to the hip-hop genre as it completed 50 years. The music genre that we listen to currently has a deep root. While celebrating various artists and their art, the Grammy didn’t forget to celebrate today’s most loved genre as well. As the performers hit the stage with their contribution to the genre, fans couldn’t keep calm.

At the 65th Grammy Awards, pioneers of the genre, along with the newcomers, hit the stage. LL Cool J to DJ Drama, with GloRilla, Lil Baby, and Lil Uzi Vert rocked the stage as they brought the audience to their feet. Legendary hip-hop pioneers like Grandmaster Flash, Run-DMC, Ice T, Scarface, and Too $hort also shared the stage with the artists. Seeing everyone on the stage, the attendees couldn’t stop themselves from tapping their feet and raising their hands while celebrating the moment.

The Grammy Awards celebrated Hip hop anniversary in style

For the past 50 years, the genre has grown so much. The hip-hop music genre has a long and meaningful history. Many new artists have added their vision and creativity to the genre. While celebrating the genre and its sub-genres, the 65th Award Ceremony paid tribute on the occasion of hip hop’s 50th anniversary. As they saw the artists coming together as one to honor their music, fans couldn’t stay calm. They rushed to their social media handles to express their excitement as well.

While enjoying the moment in their homes, people appreciated Jay Z’s happiness. Some people were happy as the tribute included Salt-N-Pepa, too. However, the fandom also said those classic songs are still their favorite. One user even remembered Will Smith and DJ Jazzy as they boycotted the Awards 34 years ago for not televising the Best Rap performance category. And others just enjoyed the important tribute.

While fans were in a frenzy after watching the performance, ‘Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers’ by Kendrick Lamar won the award for Best Rap Album and ‘The Heart Part 5’ won the Best Rap Song Award. This added to the tribute and its impact.
