Hiatus Ends! Kate Middleton and Prince William Set to Attend BAFTA Awards

Kate Middleton has been busy with her Shaping Us campaign, moving from nursery to nursery in order to spread awareness about early childhood development. While fans are delighted by the Princess working towards such a great cause, all work and no photos with Prince William have left them bittersweet. However, the couple will soon be seen sitting next to each other as the BAFTA film awards 2023 will honor all the great cinematic pieces from last year.

This year’s BAFTA film award is special to the royal family and fans for more reasons than one. The past two years have missed the Wales looking stunning at the BAFTA award ceremony. However, this year the couple is all set to attend the award ceremony on the 19th of February.

Kate Middleton and Prince William to be the highlight at BAFTA Awards 2023

The BAFTA awards are held annually in the United Kingdom to celebrate remarkable pieces of entertainment from the past year. Prince William and Kate Middleton add significance to the event with their attendance. However, the couple has been unable to attend for the past two years. Firstly, it was due to the death of Prince Philip in 2021. Secondly, the royal family blamed “diary constraints” as reported by Deadline for the reason for their absence.

Prince William has been a President of the BAFTAs for over a decade and will be returning with his wife to the ceremony after a two-year-long hiatus. This will also mark the couple’s first BAFTA attendance since the onslaught of accusations from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Apart from the award ceremony, fans are excited to see the royal couple bring their glamor to the BAFTA red carpet. Especially after Prince William was told he was “beautiful too” the last time they attended in 2020.

BAFTA 2023 to be held at the Royal Festive Hall

This year’s BAFTA film awards are truly going to be special. Apart from the comeback of the royal couple, the awards will be held in one of the world’s largest performance venues. Previously, the ceremony was held at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Another major change to note, apart from the change in venue, is that the BAFTA film awards will also be broadcasting a segment live.

 

Despite having representatives of the monarchy in the audience, the show stealer is All Quiet on the Western Front with its fourteen nominations. Although not yet revealed, fans are hoping for the Prince and Princess of Wales do the honors of presenting at least one award at BAFTA 2023.
