After all, this is the last time Henry Cavill will be taking the mantle of Geralt of Rivia. Since it premiered in 2019, the show has taken viewers on quite a ride. Or one can say that people were impressed with the actor who perfectly matched the whole aura of this monster-slaying hero. Alas! the journey of this version of the monster hunter is about to end soon and cast members are not happy about it.

We all know that The Witcher team is currently promoting their highly anticipated season. During this press tour, every journalist had this one burning question for cast members that have been sending the internet into a frenzy for months: “How do you feel about Henry Cavill leaving the show?” In the latest interview with SFX Magazine, Anya Chalotra, who plays Yennefer on the show, addressed this question.

The actress revealed that this thing is not easy for them to grasp. She is indeed heartbroken that the former Superman is leaving them after spending so much time on the show. The Wanderlust star recalled how this show has been the biggest project of her life, which included this talented man. “Henry was a huge part of that. He’s a crucial member of the show and I will miss him dearly,” said Chalotra as reported by SFX Magazine.

Besides Chalotra, other cast members have also expressed their thoughts about him exiting the show and putting him on higher grounds.

Mecia Simson believes Henry Cavill is the right Witcher 

Mecia Simson, who appeared in six episodes of the series playing the character of Francesca Findabair, talked about this heartbreaking news. During her appearance on the podcast A Trip to the Movie with Alex Zane, Simson stated that this decision has changed the show forever. According to her, Cavill was the perfect fit for this role because he had every quality that matches the characteristic of White Wolf.

She continued this might be the end of an era, but the show will be great and Liam Hemsworth would do a great job. At this point, no one can confirm how the departure of this fan-favorite face affects the show. However, from what we have gathered, Netflix is trying really hard to make things right for fans. The streaming giant is set to bring huge names alongside the new monster slayer for Season 4.
