Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have brought the Royal Family down to the dust, but their unquestioned respect for the Duke’s mother, Princess Diana is unconditional. Following the death of his mother, the sidelined Prince devoted his entire life to seeking justice for his mother who had to meet such a tragic death. Ever since Meghan Markle stepped into the Royal Family, she could share the same amount of respect for her mother-in-law as Harry. 

Addressing the same in his memoir Prince Harry has mentioned his wife’s endless devotion to Lady Diana. In times when the entire Kingdom was outraging the Sussex couple, Meghan Markle and Prince and to look out for themselves of their own free will. In times as such, Harry mentions that they turned to their dead mother, Diana to seek hope and strength to survive through all of it.

The copies of the autobiography were leaked prematurely in Spain even after ensuring complete discretion before the release. As reported by the New York Times, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle once visited Princess Diana’s graveyard. Not for the routine offerings, but instead to plead something from her. Prince Harry writes that his wife had asked at his dead mother’s grave for “clarity and guidance”.

“When I returned, she was on her knees with her eyes closed and her palms flat against the stone,” wrote the Duke. As the publication mentions, the Duke and his wife had once visited the island at Althorp House in Northamptonshire, where Princess Diana was laid to rest. This place was specially chosen as her burial ground since that is the place where the late Princess grew up. 

The burial ground is surrounded by a serene lake covered with a dense envelope of mist. It also has a beautiful temple specially built in memory of one of the most influential women of the era. Visitors describe the place as “gates to heaven” after having witnessed the breathtaking vast stretches of land where Diana rests.
