With the hype for the play’s debut increasing every day, it is no surprise that the official Stranger Things on Stage X (formerly Twitter) page is adding to it. Recently, they posted a video of Louis McCartney and Ella Karuna Williams having a small Q&A session about their characters. McCartney said that the whole thing was “pretty exciting,” however he also said that “Henry’s weird, but he’s fun to play.”

While William’s Patty Newby will be a new addition to the story, McCartney’s role is an integral part of the franchise. This will be the first time that Stranger Things fans will get a peek into the backstory of how Henry Creel eventually turned into the horrifying Vecna. The play is also set to bring to light the story of many other beloved characters.

From Jim Hopper to Dr. Brenner, the audience is in for a treat. Although none of the series’ stars will be making their way to the stage, the Duffer Brothers promised fans the exploration of the early days of the fan favorites.

What Stranger Things fans can expect from Stranger Things on Stage?

While Millie Bobby Brown is ready to say “thank you and goodbye” to the Stanger Things series, fans around the world are still not there yet. Thankfully, with the play, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, coming out, they will not have to. The play is supposed to be a prequel to the series and will take its audience on a journey into the Upside Down. Although a few beloved characters may not be involved, viewers will get a look at the bigger picture that began before Eleven and the gang.
