Henry Cavill is a Hollywood royalty now! Although widely known for his iconic roles as Superman and Geralt, the British actor has also taken on lesser-known roles that have quietly contributed to his diverse portfolio. A constant in his career has been adaptations. While he may have starred in a good lot of them, the star has now reached a stage where creators are crafting adaptations of his movie.

The 2002 adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’s The Count of Monte Cristo featured Henry Cavill in a role that often eludes memory. As the movie is being capsulated in a series, the creators have, although not knocked on the door of Henry Cavill, they have tapped someone who shares the same craft and dedication. More precisely, Billie August has fetched Sam Claflin, Cavill’s Enola Holmes co-star, to feature in The Count of Monte Cristo series.
Similarly, the upcoming adaptation will also revolve around the story of a 19-year-old French first mate falsely accused of treason, arrested, and incarcerated without trial. Sam Claflin will lead the Alexandre Dumas adaptation alongside Jeremy Irons, Ana Girardot, Mikkel Boe Følsgaard, and more. Both Cavill and Claflin shared a heartwarming bond with their Enola Holmes lead, Millie Bobby Brown.
While Cavill brought a touch of banter to both on and off-screen moments in the detective film series, Sam Claflin found joy in sharing the screen with the “powerhouse” Millie Bobby Brown in Enola Holmes.

The Holmes siblings, in real life, shared a connection that was a bit different from the one portrayed on screen. While their on-screen characters maintained some distance, off-screen, the cast had discussions about reality dating TV series. In an interview with Britain’s The Times newspaper, Sam Claflin shared that Millie Bobby Brown took it upon herself to keep Henry Cavill informed about the latest happenings on Love Island.
Apparently, she even tried to bring him up to speed on the romantic twists within the show. However, Cavill allegedly had terms and conditions and did not let Brown peek into his personal life. This led to some light-hearted quarrels between the two with Cavill saying, “Millie, shut up. No”, revealed the 19-year-old after the release of Enola Holmes 2. And now with the third season on the way, fans will get to witness this duo once again on the screen.
