Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman, is one of the few comic book characters with a very rich history of its own. So playing such an iconic comic book character undoubtedly, would have been a difficult task. However, when the Man of Steel released fans were in awe of the portrayal of the character in such a flawless manner by Henry Cavill.
The Witcher actor played the role with perfection, and it seemed like the part was made for him. Over the years, we have witnessed various live-action adaptations of comic book characters, however, only a few became as popular as the Man of Steel. But what did Cavill have in mind while playing Superman?

Henry Cavill never fails to amaze us, be it with his acting, his muscular physique, or his interviews. Previously, Cavill featured in an interview with GQ, to break down some of his most iconic roles he has played. While talking about his memorable role in Man of Steel, Cavill revealed the thoughts, he, Christopher Nolan, and Zack Snyder had for Superman.
The actor spoke, “What Snyder, Nolan, and I wanted to do was create a Superman who was accessible,” Cavill revealed that the main question Zack, him, and Nolan wanted to solve was how would being Superman affect them in a world where they had to keep every aspect of themselves hidden. In continuation, Cavill talked about the “look don’t reveal yourself” scene with Kevin Costner.
In the scene, Jonathan(Costner) sacrificed his life and stopped Clark Kent from donning his Superman suit to save him. Furthermore, Cavill admitted that the beautiful bit about playing Superman was that even though he lived his life in loneliness, he was still willing to step out of the shadows to help people.
The star labeled Superman as the symbol of hope, someone representing everything good about mankind despite mankind not being good to him.
Will Superman ever return?
While Superman is a well-liked superhero, it has been a while since fans saw Henry Cavill don his Kryptonian suit. Recently, various rumors of Cavill making a comeback have been floating around. The British actor even shot a cameo scene for Black Adam, with Dwayne Johnson putting in a word with Warner Bros.
