If you spot a few hoardings about Henry Cavill at the hottest tourist spots around the United Kingdom, do not worry. That is Netflix announcing his stay in The Witcher most dramatically. Yes! Cavill is not leaving… Yet. Ever since the news of his exit came around, fans became more than just sad. They would apparently sign petitions or even threaten to abandon the show to get Cavill back as their favorite monster butcher, AKA Geralt of Rivia.

The uproar was so effective that the show’s prequel, The Witcher: Blood Origin suffered a very low Rotten Tomatoes rating. Things did change, eventually. Fans alike perhaps started to accept the truth and savored every second of part one of The Witcher Season 3. Well, that is not to say this is the last time fans are watching Cavill flaunt his monster-hunting sword ballet on his screen.

His ‘big fight scene’ is yet to unwrap itself in the second part. It seems like a few fans may have confused it, and Netflix chose to go a big way to clear that confusion.

As you can see in the Tweet above, it has “Yes, he’s still Geralt in season 3,” beaming brightly in big letters set at the exquisite UK locations. These places include The Shard in London, the South Bank, Edinburgh Castle, and the White Cliffs of Dover. The streaming giant is perhaps trying its best to win their audience’s heart in every big-small way possible.

While part one drew itself parallel to the source material, this was yet another big gesture to show their gratitude towards the actor, perhaps.

However, it seems like fans are still heated up!

Netflix’s big gesture for Henry Cavill went in vain as fans are still not happy about his The Witcher exit

The OTT platform may have expected a little appreciation for the big bright move, but it is too late now. Nothing seems to spell its charm on the angry fans. Many lash out in the comments that they should have rather found a way to make Cavill stay. Some also harshly wrote, “Really consider it would have been smarter to fire your showrunner and writers than chase off your golden goose…”

Others say they do not understand the necessity to get rid of the lead who “essentially made the story successful.”

Others foresee that viewership will tank this season.

While a little few sounded supportive of such grand gestures.
