Recently, the Suicide Squad posted a picture of his coffee along with some comics on Twitter. Gunn wrote, “The secret to happiness is starting the morning with coffee and comic books.” Interestingly, among the pile of comic books was Deluxe Edition of the All-Star Superman by Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely and Jamie Grant.
Furthermore, to make matters more exciting, the Peacemaker director had a peculiar fan interaction following his tweet. A fan asked Gunn whether he had read the All star Superman edition comic book before or if it was his first time. In response to the fan, the DC boss replied, “I’ve read it many, many times.”
What is the All star Superman edition all about?
The comic All-Star Superman, first published in 2005, revolves around the end of Superman’s life. The series follows the slow death of the Man of Steel due to over exposure of the sun. Furthermore, it takes the audience through many of Superman’s heroic feats. However, there is no confirmation on whether the new Clark Kent story would base upon the All-star Superman comic.
Even though Gunn supposedly dropped a hint about the future, only time will tell how Gunn will take forward Superman’s story. Previously, Gunn even debunked the rumors of casting Jacob Elordi as the new Clark Kent. While, the fans are extremely upset over Gunn’s decision, another theory suggests that Gunn axing out Cavill and the Snyderverse is actually for the good.
