Henry Cavill Almost Lost The Role in ‘The Witcher’ For The Most Uncanny Reason Possible

Although we think there is no actor on par with him in Hollywood, even Cavil himself had some major issues while working for his monster hunter role in The Witcher. His initial days of fighting for the role did not go right at first but later he picked up from where he had left.

Henry had good knowledge of the characters and storyline of The Witcher owing to his fascination with geek gaming. No sooner did he learn about the development of the adaptation than he decided to name the role his own. The showrunner of the show, Lauren Schmidt, felt all of it was a bit too early. Hence, she revealed that his continuously persuasive personality sometimes felt annoying. According to reports, this was the apparent reason the crew turned down Henry at first.

However, when the production of the show started with over two hundred actors auditioning for the role, Laura got back to Cavill. She could not get rid of his voice that was stuck in her head for the role for a long time and the rest is history. Henry immediately got the part that he had been pressing on for so long.
Soon after the release of the first season, the entire team could feel the success of their choices. As for Henry’s part, not only did the actor conquer another legit role under his name, but he also got to learn the values of perseverance, patience, and charm.
