It was an update for the upcoming season of the drama, Heartstopper. With the second season releasing back in August, the media company has given the series their undivided attention. 

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Netflix teased their followers by teasing the third season of Heartstopper. The company posted a short clip with Joe Locke, William Gao, and the rest of the stunning cast. Apart from hyping up the upcoming season, the post also promised fans that it would make its way to the streaming platform in October. However, no release date has been revealed yet. While there might not have been much to go on, the update sent social media users into a frenzy.

After all, the coming-of-age rom-com had left quite an impact on its audience during its two-year run. From navigating their sexual orientation to confronting homophobia head-on, it resonated with its viewers. With months left to go before the third season of the show drops, fans might have some time to catch up or rewatch the show's previous seasons. However, it looks like social media users have not completely recovered from the rollercoaster that was the show's season 2.

Once the news of Netflix's fall surprise made its way online, the news ended up spreading like wildfire. With all the social media ecstatic about the third season of the show, fans flocked to the comment section. While most fans of the show were excited to see their favorite queer stars take center stage for the upcoming season of Heartstopper, there were a few that were still reeling from the show's previous seasons. 

Although some fans of Heartstopper might be trapped in the series' past episodes and moments, others wanted to know exactly what the third season would cover.

There were others who felt like the original plans for the third season could have viewers feeling like too much was going on.
