“He was such a…” – ‘The Witcher’ Producer Reveals How Henry Cavill Made the Show Better
Fans will always first recall Henry Cavill whenever the name of Geralt of Rivia will rise in debates. For three seasons, the actor played the role so admirably that he became a rare example of perfect casting. He hung his sword after the third installment, but fans are still not ready to watch him get replaced by anyone. The world has witnessed how the unexpected news of his exit rattled the internet making people go against the creators. Not to mention, most of them threatened to boycott the series if they did not think about bringing him back.
Sadly, the ship has sailed, and nothing can be done now. But this decision has certainly not ended all the memories the British superstar left for people behind. Almost one month after the season 3 release, the producer has come forward to praise the former Geralt, revealing how he made the show better.

Marc Jobst, who worked as an executive producer and director on The Witcher, recently spoke to CinemaBlend about how Henry Cavill was an asset for the fantasy drama. In season 1, the famous filmmaker worked with the former Superman for the first two episodes. So he got the chance to witness his excellent fight skills and learned significant lessons about these sequences.
“So in Henry Cavill’s sword fight, because he was such a brilliant sword fighter himself, I wanted to show that,” added Jobst. The 40-year-old knew how to do these stunts himself and it made the entire process more beautiful. This allowed Jobst to see all the incredible things because Cavill put the real action in.
Marc Jobst is not the only team member who has gushed over this face of talent and his contribution to the show.

Last month, a weapon expert Dave Rawlings talked to Insider about The Witcher season 1’s fight scene. The expert praised Henry Cavill for his swordsmanship in the first action set pieces of the series. He stated that his physical presence and prowess covered up the moment when the character held the sword backward down. According to him, it was not the right way to hold the sword, but the actor’s precision made it look nice.
He noted that the Enola Holmes star made this disappointing scene look so organic because he was good at handling the sword. Rawlings gave his score of 8 for marching Geralt’s foe in an astounding way while giving the sequences 4 only.
