These two couple of years have been huge for our Duke of Hastings, Regé Jean Page, aka Simon. While the actor made his debut on Netflix as a royal prince who left us all jaw dropped with heart eyes in the English-landed gentry, Bridgerton, he’s also seen as the head of the American CIA in The Gray Man that made its way to Netflix the day before yesterday. News of the actor joining the MCU has also been up in the air for quite a while until now. But will we see our Duke become a superhero?
Let us try to find out if the future of Regé is with Marvel.
Is Regé Jean Page going to star in the upcoming Marvel-lous series?
From the internet’s first stop for nerd culture, news, commentary, and community, Comic book resources confirmed the actor is joining the cast of Marvel’s Secret Invasion. But later, the publication confirmed that the casting leak was an error and that Jean is up for no role in any Marvel project what’s so ever.
Instead, the only confirmed cast for the movie is Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. Joining them will be Martin Freeman as Everett Ross and Don Cheadle as James Rhodes / War Machine, as well as unspecified roles for Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emilia Clarke, and Olivia Colman.

The film is presumably about a disruptive long-term invasion of Earth by the Skrull, a group of alien shapeshifters who have secretly replaced many superheroes in the Marvel Universe with imposters over a period of time prior to the overt mission. The Skrulls infiltrate the superhero community, and now it’s a challenge for the real superheroes to save the Earth.
Not only for Marvel Stans, but Regé also has something more for Stranger Things and D&D nerds as well
Nevertheless, even if we can’t see him in a Marvel movie for the foreseeable future, Netflix always has something for us. In this Stranger Things-era, the renowned actor is reportedly said to be one of the main characters in his upcoming movie, Dungeons and Dragons. The title reads it as an ‘Honour Among Thieves’.
The movie is about a charming burglar and a band of strange creatures who are out on a heist for a lost relic, but things turn out dreadful when they run into bad men. This movie will release next year, with The Secret Invasion going on-screen by the spring of 2023. Given his outstanding performances in every set he’s ever been on, the actor will surely get a Marvel movie somewhere in the future. But for now, we will have to satisfy ourselves by waiting for Dungeons and Dragons.
