Harry & Meghan: Twitter Divided as the Duchess Mocks This Royal Tradition for Queen in the Docuseries

Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan is finally here. As expected, the royal fans and experts are putting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex under scanner for each scene and dialog. The first three episodes of the show take a deep look into the relationship between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. They have described in detail how they met each other and the high-voltage reaction of the press and other royal members to the relationship.

The California-based royal couple has left a majority of viewers impressed with their sincerity and honesty. However, there is criticism as well because of certain scenes in the show. One clip that caused outrage on social networking sites included Markle’s description of her first meeting with the late monarch.

Towards the end of the second episode, Meghan Markle revealed how she came to know about her first meeting with Queen Elizabeth II at the last moment. Prince Harry gave another shock to Markle by informing her of the curtsying tradition. The Sussexes were in the car traveling to reach Her Majesty when the royal prince told her about the curtsy. Notably, all the royal female members need to curtsy to the Queen to show their respect.

“How do you explain that to people? How do you explain that you bow to your grandmother? And that you would need to curtsy, especially to an American. That’s weird,” Prince Harry told the Netflix camera.

The former American actress initially thought that her then-boyfriend was messing around with her and it took her a few minutes to come to terms with the protocol. Meghan Markle compared the curtsy tradition to the theater drama Medieval Times, Dinner and Tournament. Meanwhile, she dramatically bowed down while spreading her hands to depict what she understood of the royal protocol.

Seeing the Duchess make fun of the curtsying tradition left the Britishers fuming. Prince Harry also looked extremely uncomfortable with the action. However, a lot of Americans related to the joke as they defended the Suits alum.

Meghan Markle mocks the respect of a curtsy for a beloved Queen. Mocks the traditions of the Monarchy & the UK. And finds herself adorable while doing it.
She is the most narcissistic and self-important woman.

She wasn’t being disrespectful. She was stating that she was unfamiliar with the expectations and the proper procedures. She was making a self-deprecating joke, not mocking your country. Y’all are just looking for ways to justify your irrational hatred of this woman.
