Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are the most loved royal couple. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have defined an ideal relationship by being with each other through thick and thin. The world saw the fairytale romance taking the shape of a lifetime commitment with a marriage. It was on May 19, 2018, that Markle walked down the aisle to take the plunge with the royal prince.

In the first episode of their bombshell Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, the couple revealed how Instagram and Snapchat played a major role in shaping their relationship.

How Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were introduced to each other?

In the first episode, Prince Harry revealed seeing Meghan Markle for the first time in a Snapchat video with doggy ears filter. While scrolling his feed on Instagram, the Duke stumbled on a video posted by a mutual friend with Markle. The former American actress looked adorable in the video with doggy ears and the Sussex royal was amused, to say the least. 

“That was the first thing. I was like, ‘Who is that’ It got doggy ears,” the Duke said while narrating his first reaction to the video. 

Prince Harry immediately showed interest in the actress. And one of their common friends took it upon themselves to play the matchmaker. Prince’s close friend dropped a mail to Markle to know if she was interested. The mail read, “I know you said you’re single and a friend of mine asked about you and maybe you’d like to meet him.”

After enquiring about the person whom her friend wanted to hitch Markle with, the first thing the actress did was go on Instagram. She formed her first impression of the Duke through his Instagram profile. Meghan Markle was impressed with the beautiful photography and thus agreed on talking with him.
