Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s much-hyped Netflix docuseries has finally hit the television screens. Volume I comprising the first three episodes of Harry & Meghan is explosive, to say the least. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have given their inputs on some of the major royal scandals in the last few years.

The Sussex royals have also given a detailed insight into their relationship. Apart from their love story, they focused on how the press and the Palace forced them towards taking the extreme step of leaving the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the viewers were surprised to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s clips from 2020. There were some throwback videos from March 2020 where the Sussex couple reflected on their feelings about quitting their jobs as working royals. The clips have raised doubt on whether the Duke and Duchess had planned their show even before their exit from the family.

It was in September 2020 that the Sussex couple joined hands with Netflix to release their documentary. Thus, it does not make sense for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to vlog their thoughts months before their arrival in California. However, in the first episode only, the Duke and Duchess clarified that they recorded their emotions at the insistence of a friend. 

“A friend of ours actually suggested that we document ourselves through this period with all the misinformation that was going on, especially about us and the departure. It sounded like a really sensible idea,” Prince Harry revealed in the docuseries. 

Meanwhile, they aired another clip of the former American actress where she could be heard saying that the videos will make sense to them and the world one day. Further, the Duchess also revealed the reason behind making docuseries. She added that a lot of books have been written on her relationship with Prince Harry by writers whom she does not even know. Thus, the most practical thing for them to do is narrate their own story and put a full stop to all the misinformation.
