With the latest updates coming in, it seems like del Toro’s legendary classic has found just the right home to land on fans’ screens after its fall release.

Taking to his X handle, Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro announced the completion of filming for his highly anticipated science fiction horror film, Frankenstein. Shooting had begun earlier this year in February. Sharing his excitement, in wrapping up the age-old classic, del Toro stated, "Shooting has been completed on 'F' - Joy!!!" on his handle. The update, nonetheless, sparked eagerness among fans and followers, awaiting the film's release.

The film boasts an impressive cast, including Jacob Elordi, Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, and Christoph Waltz. Moreover, Frankenstein is set to premiere on Netflix, with a release date expected soon. Hence, as the countdown begins for Halloween, fans can prepare how to spend their spooky shenanigans with del Toro's adaptation to cater to them. With the impressive line of cast, Frankenstein promises a fresh take on Mary Shelley's classic novel, blending horror and science fiction in unison.

Despite no release date on the horizon yet, The Dreadful starring Sophie Turner opposite Kit Harington, her Game of Thrones co-star, is set to thrill audiences in a big-screen horror film. Although The Dreadful will not be streaming on Netflix, its theatrical release is highly anticipated. Moreover, given Turner's versatility, The Dreadful seems to be a must-watch in case it lands this horror season.

Adding to the list are a slew of terrifying releases that have already or are awaiting to treat the fans. Coralie Fargeat's recently released, The Substance delivered satirical body horror, while Bagman and Oddity unleashed supernatural entities with a similarly themed movie, Smile 2 slated for mid-October release. Just in time, Terrifier 3, is also to be released nationwide across North America, ensuring a thrilling ride through September and Halloween.
