Pinocchio seems to have touched many hearts. The little boy made of wood has been a familiar character for generations and was first created centuries ago in 1881 by Carlo Collodi as part of his stories. The first person to play the character was Alessandro Tommei in 1947. Since then, many versions of the character have been made through series or movies.
The latest version of Pinocchio is directed by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson. It casts Gregory Mann in the lead, with Ewan Mc Gregor, Finn Wolfhard, and Ron Perlman as voice actors. The animated movie was released this month and Toro has received some amazing compliments for it.

What I love most about #PinocchioMovie is that it’s unafraid to actually talk about death and what becoming a “real boy” would actually mean. It makes the film hit 10x harder than any Disney adaptation. The Mouse House could never get you crying over a piece of wood like GDT does pic.twitter.com/V2DUkCtmXc

Pinocchio is originally known for his unique nose. We know that the character’s nose grows whenever he lies. But the creators have managed to use this unique aspect during the movie, while the main focus has been the wooden boy’s adventures. The movie’s basic plot revolves around Geppetto’s creation. He is a carpenter who loses his son during The Great War and eventually carves a human-like structure in memory of his son. But the story only begins from there.
