Kanye West aka Ye has a thing for British Princess Kate Middleton. It is a fact now that the American rapper is not the one who shies from speaking his mind. Thus, it should not come as a surprise that there was a time when the award-winner singer did not hold himself back from putting the Princess of Wales on a pedestal. West admired Middleton in 2012 so much that he wanted his now ex-wife Kim Kardashian to dress up like Her Royal Highness.

During the early days of his relationship with the reality tv star, the rapper urged Kardashian to take some tips about sophistication and poise from Prince William’s wife. Back then, the sources suggested that Kanye West loved the simplicity with which Kate Middleton carried her outfits during her royal wedding with the British prince in 2011. Meanwhile, it might come as a surprise that he once likened his elder daughter North West to the UK Princess.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian became parents for the first time on June 15, 2013, with the birth of their daughter North West. Months after becoming a father, the American rapper put his daughter in the same stature as Kate Middleton. As per Marie Claire, while speaking on the US radio show The Breakfast Club in November 2013, West claimed, “My daughter is in a position of a level of royalty like the prince and princess in London.”

Meanwhile, Kanye’s former wife Kardashian might not have the same admiration for Kate Middleton. It was only last year that the media personality admitted to having a difficult pregnancy because of Her Royal Highness. The 41-year-old revealed that since she and Middleton were pregnant at the same time in 2013, there were a lot of articles body shaming her. Constant comparison with the Princess of Wales by the press did not go well with Kardashian’s mental health. Thus, she spent most of her time crying during her first pregnancy.
