Freya Allan Spills Beans About Weight of Geralt’s Character and Her Journey in The Witcher Season 4 Ahead of Liam Hemsworth Debut

Amidst the shocking departure of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, fans of The Witcher are eagerly awaiting the fourth season with bated breath. As Liam Hemsworth takes up the mantle of the iconic monster hunter, excitement and trepidation collide. However, the fourth installment of the Netflix franchise not only has Geralt at the helm but also significant side characters reaching the pinnacle of their performance. Along with the titular protagonist, his closest kin will also be tried and tested like never before. 

Freya Allan, who plays the adopted daughter to the Geralt of Rivia, recently dished out how her character arc is going to unfold under the shadows of her father.

Speaking to Collider in a recent interview, Allan weighed in on how despite all the characters going their separate ways this season, Ciri is going to be very much under the influence of Geralt. Although her character will embark on very much of her own journey, “Geralt’s always going to have a massive weight on my character,” said Allan. 

Speaking more of her character’s revival, Allan added how Ciri, “goes to some very dark places within herself.” With all the discoveries and rapid changes, her growth from being a child to being a woman as a lead character will be the most prominent in the upcoming season. Moreover, as an actress, the 22-year-old shows great enthusiasm to work with the newly crowned, Geralt, Liam Hemsworth.

While boosting up Hemsworth’s takeover, Freya Allan also dished out how the social media has not been very nice to the actor.

Speaking of the fans’ reaction to the exit of the forever loved Henry Cavill, Allan could not agree anymore but feels they have been a bit too harsh to his successor. "He’s been training. I feel sorry for him,” said the actress given the fanbase and the unideal situation he is in filling someone's shoes. The actress feels Hemsworth is really trying to bring the heart, and she is excited to see what he does.

She finally found her destiny as the Empress of the Continent but at a great cost. In a climactic battle, Ciri makes a sacrificial choice to save the world from the Wild Hunt, leaving her fate unknown and fans eagerly awaiting her return in Season 4.
