Last year, Redanian Intelligence reported that there was a possibility of Netflix’s The Witcher concluding its tale with 5 seasons instead of 7 following Liam Hemsworth’s takeover. And last month, Netflix confirmed the same, leaving fans in a bitter state of mind. However, Freya Allan seems far from sharing this sentiment, as she recently shared with Inverse how she was “kind of finished with it mentally”, reflecting on the challenges she faced when confronted by the thought that she had two more seasons.
Allan acknowledged that although she feels this way right now, when the show actually comes to an end with its fifth season, it will hit her as a shocker. Allan explained that despite being the symbol of hope throughout The Witcher’s run, the last season makes Ciri resort to somewhat the other side of the character, Falka. She feels that the last season will be “brutal” because it changes Ciri as a character, from grounded and humble to frustrated and rebellious. However, the transformation might not necessarily be the “most healthy way”, hence, the sense of relief comes from there.
Allan proceeded to highlight, however, what has kept her more intrigued than The Witcher’s final chapter.

Freya Allan during her conversation with Inverse, added that despite having a “vague idea” of what the final season could bring to the fans’ plate, she has been more attentive to the current one where her character goes through significant development with the involvement of the Rats. Allan explained that it was this “storyline” that had kept her on a hook since the show’s inception, referring to herself as Falka.
The actress went ahead to praise her newest co-star, Liam Hemsworth, and how she had been excited about working with him. Although it is clear that the pair would not get as much show time together as in previous seasons because of their separate journeys in this one, she seemed thrilled to share the screen, nevertheless. At first, it may have seemed Allan’s sense of relief was a result of feelings she might have shared otherwise for the show, but with her entire conversation fitting the puzzles, it seems her relief has a lot to do with the path Ciri would take on.
