The world of streaming is one of today’s most-lucrative affairs with Netflix grabbing the lion’s share of it. The streaming giant has forever tried to win the tides in its favor with its relentless approach to updating its catalog. Along with it, it has always bet on its quest to empower new creative visions. Riding high on its recent inroads into the audience’s hearts with One Piece, the studio is now looking to replicate the same with its comic-to-movie-to-show adaptation of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.

Nearly a month after releasing an official clip for the same, Netflix has now dropped another piece of content for the show.

A new clip lands from Netflix, a month after a  look into the retro anime style of cinematography for Bryan Lee O’Malley’s comic. Amping the fanbase ahead of its November 17 release, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off has had its intro credits rolled out by the streamer. The aesthetic and comic-feel clip dropped recently and featured the list of the creative brains behind the show. All of it while the opening theme song, ‘Bloom’ by Necry Talkie hummed by.

The intro closes with brief glimpses of the characters of the show while setting the stage for its debut. The eight-episode extravaganza is directed by Abel Góngora and developed by O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski. Animated by Science Saru, the production aims to live by the style exactly as meant in the comics. Following in the footsteps of Sony’s animated Spiderverse, the show retains its originality by simply respecting the source material and style while keeping everything visually appealing and fit for the screens.

Featuring a star-studded cast with Michael Cera as the lead, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was the first attempt to bring the comics onto the screens. Including Marvel juggernauts such as Chris Evans and Brie Larson alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead among others, the film pulled in gallant reviews and ratings. Interestingly, Netflix is bringing the entirety of them as voice actors for its show. Thus, chasing success may not only be a pipe dream anymore.

The movie had Scott end up with Knives instead of Ramona, which would be treated differently in the animation. Moreover, the movie version gave Scott a second shot at his tries, which is not the deal in the comics. Although confirmed for even more deviations, the writers have yet to reveal the finer details. Thus, all eyes would be on Scott’s take on Ramona’s seven evil exes in about two weeks from now.
