Following the Crisis Centre Visit, Prince William and Kate Middleton Send a Heartfelt Message to Those Affected in the New Zealand’s Catastrophic Weather Events

The Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William, and Kate Middleton have been all over the place lately. Starting from the Liverpool visit this year, all the way through their Shaping Us campaign to visiting schools in Bosnia up until flexing their physique with their Polar Explorer, the couple has done it all. Not to forget this is just the second month of the year and the royal couple has got countless such engagements throughout the calendar to render off their duties as the future King and Queen in waiting.

The internet and social media work as a perfect way to communicate and put those ventures out in public. For the royals, it is especially to create the same sense of responsibility and duty among each other. And Wales has been doing it actively through their social media handles on Twitter and Instagram. A few hours ago, the official account once again shared its latest upload and it is one to celebrate about.

The latest tweet from Wales is a heartfelt condolences message to those who have been affected by the severe weather conditions in Aotearoa, New Zealand. The Kensington Palace wrote, “we are in awe of the valiant efforts of emergency responders risking their lives to help those in danger.” They further asked everyone in New Zealand’s native Maori language, to stay safe. “Kia haumaru koutou katoa” it read. The message was concluded with the initials of the couple, with W & C representing William and Catherine, respectively.

For the unversed, a catastrophic cyclone, Cyclone Gabrielle, has befallen the Kiwis for the past few days affecting lives and livelihoods for days on end. Nonetheless, there have been relentless rescue operations at the spots hit by the cyclone. Help from neighboring states has also arrived.
